Zuci - A Phy-gital multiplayer turn based strategy game

Zuci – multiplayer phygital game was an exploratory project designed to introduce a younger audience to Folk Musical Instruments. This was an academic project done as a part of Master’s thesis at IDC School of Design, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay under the guidance of Prof. Uday Athavankar.

Overview

BACKGROUND
Folk musical instruments bind one’s community together. Each instrument has a certain role, location, and time to be performed within a community. The audience for traditional folk musical instruments has, however, shrunk significantly as modern electronic musical instruments and music have become more widely accepted.

OBJECTIVE
The main goal of this project was to teach participants about folk musical instruments through their sounds, method of construction, relationship with different communities and their festivals
